Preparation for Peels

Begin homecare products at least 1 week, without irritation, prior to your first treatment. This will ensure that your skin is prepared to get the most benefit from your peel. Discontinue use of Retin-A for at least 1 week prior to the treatment.

If you have a breakout of cold sores or fever blisters on the face before your scheduled appointment, please notify me and reschedule the appointment.

Post Peel Instructions

Post-peel routine (use approximately 7-10 days, or until skin has healed & finished flaking)

Morning:

Cleanse: Green Tea Citrus Cleanser

Hydrate: Acai Berry Moisturizer

Protect: Sheer Protection SPF 30

Evening:

Cleanse: Green Tea Citrus Cleanser

Hydrate: Acai Berry Moisturizer

** Avoid exercise, saunas, whirlpools, and hot tubs (perspiration is salty & can cause excessive drying and flaking of the skin; it is preferable to wait until the peel process is complete (generally 7-10 days)

If small patches of irritation occur, apply a hydrocortisone cream on the area(s) for 2-3 days. DO NOT PULL ANY SKIN OFF YOUR FACE-NO MATTER HOW SMALL THE AREA. Skin needs to flake off, not be pulled off.

It is within normal limits to experience a slight crusting of the face; some discoloration may also occur. All of these occurrences are temporary. Remember, we are chemically burning the surface of the skin. It is normal for skin to dry and flake off, revealing fresh, healthy looking skin.
